Why is my 3g network so slow?

Hi, i would like to ask why is my 3g network so slow? I'm using a 12gb data bundle while my firiend who uses only 4gb data bundle loads quicker than mine. If there's a way to increase the speed please do inform me. And incase if phone matters, His phone is the iPhone 4s and mine is the Samsung Galaxy S3.

3G speed is determined by the quality of 3G signal you have. The Data bundles you are talking about have nothing to do with speed. They are how much data you can use per month (You can download 4GB worth of data a month, and your friend can download 12GB), it does not have any effect on the speed.

Have you tried both of your phones in the same location? Are they both on the same network? These are things to consider with any 3G connection.

If you have tried in the same location, and you are both on the same carrier (o2, orange etc) and yours is dramtically slower than your friends, I would phone up your carrier and ask for some troublehshooting help

I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case.
