Why is my iPhone 4's touch screen not working well?
I have an iPhone 4, and has recently stopped working properly. When I unlock it, it will sometimes take at least 5 swipes to work. It's even worse when I try to put in my passcode. In the middle of playing a game or texting someone, the touch screen will stop working, and I can't tap. The home and power button still work just fine, but I need to power off and then back on again to get it working again.
If anyone can help, it is greatly appreciated.
To me it just sounds like the processor is getting old. Which can happen in phones after a few years of use, you never said how long you have had it for though. Try contacting apple or take it to an apple store and see what they say. Most of there older phones like 3 3g 3gs and I phone 4 are not going to be supported shortly. You can still use the phone, just no more updates and some apps won't work.
- My iphone is not working as well as it used to? I have a kind of old iphone, a few years. And sometimes it just shuts me out of what I'm doing, will randomly make the screen black with white apple on it like I just turned it on when I haven't and it's charged, the circle button doesn't work that well, and the like. Is it time for me to upgrade?
- Is there an iPhone app to go to the home screen? My Home button isn't working well? IIm afraid my home button will completely stop working soon enough, and i don't currently have money to replace it. I really only need the home function, but it would be really nice if it also had a screenshot function (because screenshots need the home + lock combo) Edit: If it makes any difference, my phone is an iPhone 3GS (old, lol) and has iOS 6.1.6.
- Is my iPhone not working well because the screen is really cracked? Okay, so I have an iPhone 4S and it has been working perfectly fine until last night. It is really cracked and some pieces of the glass have fallen out (oops) but now the top part of my screen doesn't really work. The home button works fine, but the lock button does not. Also, I can still type although its a struggle but whenever something is more towards the top of the screen it is nearly impossible to click on. Is this because of the cracks or is something wrong with my phone?
- Iphone touch screen not working? The assistive touch is working and allows me to press on it, and i can access the toolbar things with top and bottom swipe but if i try to unlock it won't unlock and if i try to turnoff the swipe to turn off won't work either! Wtf do i do! Iphone4s
