Why is my iphone 4 taking pictures better than a Panasonic lumix?
I have a Panasonic lumix dmc-lz8 with a 8 megapixels camera that takes pictures at 2048X1536 resolution and an iphone 4 with 5 megapixels camera that takes pictures at 2592X1936. Why a 5 megapixels camera is better than an 8 one?
Don't get caught up in stats. The human eye can't even notice after a certain amount. WIth a camera that has the big zoom lens, now that matters…
The Panasonic is not set to its highest resolution setting. It's highest setting is 3264 X 2448. Somehow your camera got set to the 3MP setting.
Page 68 of the manual explains what I'm talking about - and how to set it back to its highest quality setting: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMCLZ8.PDF
More megapixels doesn't mean a better picture. The larger image sensor and better lens in the Panasonic mean that its pictures would have less noise/grain and better low light performance - so even if it had less resolution, because it produces a better quality photo you could still make a larger print. I've seen iPhone photos. Unless you're shooting in bright daylight, they look terrible and you would have a hard time even getting a nice 4X6 print.
Your camera does not matter- it's knowing how to use it and what you do with it. We'd have to see the identical shot taken with both to understand what you mean. But it's usually operator error.
- Why isn't my iphone taking pictures anymore? Basically I have an iphone 3 and before the camera worked fine but now when i load it it takes ages for the grey shutter to open than usual and then when i press the take picture it just goes back to the grey shutter and then reopens after like 30 seconds. Anyone know anything?
- Why do I look better in camera than pictures? Not sure if something like this has been asked before. I look much better on the LCD screen on my phone before I take the picture than I do on the picture itself. It seems like when I snap the picture my eyes look all crooked and my nose looks strange. Nah, its iphone. I've tried even taking a screenshot and it still looks a little weird.
- Why are my pictures taking up so much space on my iPhone I have an iPhone 4S w/ 16 GB of storage. I only have MAYBE 200 pictures at the MAX and, yes, a few videos only a few minutes long, but for some reason it says I have 8.2 GB of memory used on pictures. I just went through all of my pictures, and I was thinking there had to be some app or SOMETHING using a lot of picture memory somehow. P Please, can anyone give me a little help and tell me what could be causing this?
- How to play iPod/iPhone through Panasonic SA-AK333 AUX? I have the Panasonic SA-AK333 stereo system, and I would like to be able to play my iPhone or iPod through it. It has an AUX button on the front, and a headphones jack at the front. It also has two R and L AUX ports at the back. Is it possible to play my iPod or iPhone through it? If so, what cables do I need?
