Why isn't my iPhone 4 turning on or charging?
Nothing has happened to it. It randomly shut off when I wasn't looking and when I picked it up it wouldn't turn on or charge. I Can't try and reboot it with the home and lock buttons because my lock button is broken. How can I fix this, it won't even connect to the computer
Alright, I have two different solutions. The first one is to make sure the connection of the charger through the wall or computer to the phone are together. Look and see if the insulator (the white plastic stuff on the phone charger) is damaged if so try connecting it to a newer charger. If your phone still won't turn on it's probably because it fully shut down somehow and to turn it on again would require the lock button which is broken on your phone, so it's time to start looking for a replacement for it.

Ok here is the thing… A lot of talk on how to save battery life on the iPhone by charging habits such as turning the phone off while charging, airplane mode while charging, turn off Wi-Fi bluetooth etc… But if the phone charges faster… Wouldn't that increase the amount of full charge/discharge cycles and there for decreasing the life of the battery?
