Why isn't the Wi-Fi switch turning on on my iPhone 4s working?
I haver an iPhone 4s and i have updated it to the new ios 7.0.4 and the Wi-fi seems to not work. I have had my phone for one and a bit years now.
when I go on my settings it comes up as normal but when i click on the wi-fi setting it doesn't turn on (the switch won't slide) I have tried switching my phone on and off many times but the switch on the wi-fi setting will not switch on.
my phone sometimes switches of by itself and i have to hold down the power button and the home button to get it to turn on. This makes everything turn off so you can't go on anything but if i turn it on and off again, it works as normal.
Is this why my phone will not let me turn the wi-fi switch on? I have an ipad and it never does this. Could somebody please explain to me why my phone does this?
It is a known problem and there's nothing you can do about it as it seems the update burns out the Wi-Fi adapter on the phone. Apple in their wisdom will not help out as they say it is not a problem.
