Why iTunes could not detect my iPhone?

"An iPhone has been detected, but it could not been identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPhone, then try again."

I've tried so many times! I've restart a lot of times, both of my iPhone and laptop.
What should I do now?
I want to sync my iPhone cause I want to remove my Jailbreak.
Anyway, my iPhone is 3Gs.

Added (1). Some says I need to reset my iPhone. Where should I reset? From iPhone or iTunes?
If iTunes, where is reset buttons? 'Cause I've just updated iTunes 11.02 (newest).So, I don't know where is it situated.

It won't work because its the 3 and as you say its jailbroken. You can't do anything with a jailbroken iphone related to apple so reset the whole over again
