Why Won't My Parent's Buy Me a Computer?

Now before you start flipping out let me give you the details. I've been computer deprived for the past year and a half, and the only things I can use are my mom's iPad (which I always get yelled at for using from my dad) and a old iPod touch 4 that I bought, we don't even have a family desktop, and my dad's computer is always at his work. My family isn't poor my any means but recentely we've been struggling. But what kind of annoys me is that all my other 3 siblings have computers (brother-$1400 gaming laptop)(sister-$1200 MBP)(sister-$1200 MBP) that they got when they turned 13, and for my 13th birthday this past year I got a $20 pull up bar, and that's it. And my parents also bought both my brother and one of my sisters each a car (their twins), and just a few days ago my dad bought them both iPhone 5s. So I've kinda figured I'm the one who won't get quite as much so I asked my mom if I could use the $900 in my bank account for a computer and it turns out they stole it from me. And what really get's on my nerves is that I have a 4.2 GPA and straight A's, while on of my sisters doesn't even go to school any more (she's "homeschooled"). And it's not like I just want a computer, it's that I need one. I can't even type reports or anything without having to beg each sibling to borrow their computer and getting yelled at. And what really bothers me is that next year I start highschool, and how am I supposed to keep these grades without a computer? And please don't tell me to get a job because I'm 13 and can't legally get a job, and washing cars is my only source of income and with that all I make is $20 a week (and that's from my grandma). All I want is a computer because it would help me for miles in school, and I wanted to start up a Youtube chanel to hope to maybe make a few extra dollers.

Tell them your point, your going to need it for school. Or maybe even guilt them that they give everything to your siblings and you get nothing.

Did you do something to loose their trust with computers?

If not just try and sit down and talk to them and express how you feel it is a bit unfair.

Don't push it on them and don't get an attitude or anything, just let them know how you feel.

I mean you sister does have a mac book for god sakes.

You could get something basic if you post this story on craigslist… I'm sure someone would give you one. Or even just post student in need of pc. Your parents are messed up… More money than brains… Sorry but unless your leaving out the fact your a drug addict and would pawn it (lol jk) it makes no sense.

You should ask if you can have a cheap used computer. I bet you could find one for less than $100. If they won't buy it for you, keep washing cars and buy it yourself. You may not get a nice computer but you can find something for web browsing and word processing. They have those mini laptops for like $250 brand new.

I'm going to be optimistic here, but maybe they're saving up to give you something really huge.

It doesn't add up.save up for a used computer. $ 50 would buy a decent non-gaming PC

Money doesn't grow on trees. Unless you are paying rent and paying electric bills, then don't start acting like you know your parents money situation.

If someone won't do it FOR you, you do it YOURSELF. And that's Russia's way.

John, you said they are struggling financially lately that is why they used the money in your account. I'm sure their intent is to replace it as soon as they can.

I don't have a magic solution. You need to talk to your parents about making your siblings allowing you to utilize their computers for your schoolwork. The problem is going to get your siblings to share. They will want to keep their stuff private and virus free so you need to make separate access and all that.
