Why won't itunes sync my music?
I currently have my purchased music (121 songs from itunes) on my iphone.
I also have my ripped music (371 songs from CD's) and my purchased music in my itunes library on my laptop.
My laptop isn't apple (it's a Toshiba, if that matters? I don't know?)
When I plug my phone it to sync it (so I can have all my music on my phone) it goes through steps 1-5 of syncing and then stops on 5/5 and just sits there doing nothing? I have tried to manually add music one at a time and it just does the same thing. I thought perhaps I was being impatient so I let it go overnight and it still didn't sync.
I have the exact same problem with my new phone the 5c! I called iTunes but talked to someone who was rude and shouldn't be in customer service! I hope you figure it out and if you do let me know what worked for you
You might have to re-instill iTunes and if that does help you should take it to a nearby Apple store or City Mac store.
I have the same problem
Go to your devices settings click restore but make sure you click the back up and restore option update software if it asks after that has completed restart the sync and it should work sometimes your device gets confused and will believe it has the songs when in reality iTunes just made it account for them therefore the device thinks it has your songs think of it as Mis communicating between electronics x) this restoring it will fix it most likely if not I'd follow the person before my post's advice first chat with someone on apples site through messaging to save you time.
I would suggest trying out copytrans Manager if iTunes doesn't work for you. This has worked for me when iTunes hasn't. Also this software is completely free.
"When I plug my phone it to sync it "
I don't understand why people insist on syncing like that's the only way to do it. I never sync. I always use manual management of music and video and never have this problem. I have been doing it that way for years and never needed 3rd party software, playlists, iCLoud or any of that other stuff you iTunes users needlessly do when trying to reinvent the wheel.
Manual management works on every Apple device I;ve ever used - including different gnerations of iPod Nano, and Touch, iPhone and iPad - even iOS 7 devices,

It doesn't.
"I also have my ripped music (371 songs from CD's) "
I hope you remembered to save those. Using CD's as a data disc, you should be able to hold as much as 200 songs on each disc. That way if your computer crashes, you won't have to bother using 3rd party software to copy them from your iPod; you won't have to go to the trouble of ripping the CD's all over again.
- Why won't my iTunes sync my music onto my iPhone?
