Why would you want to unlock your iPhone?
Added (1). What is the difference was jailbreak and unlock?
To go passed the home page.
To use on other carriers.
If your contract expires, you don't want to use that particular service anymore.
Say I had AT&T and their service sucked… My contract expires, and now I want to switch to T-Mobile. BOOM. Unlocking is useful.
Most phones are locked so they can only work on one network such as AT&T.
Unlocking the phone allows use on any network
Because iphone is tied up with AT&T for 2 years you can't use anyother sim or operator. This is extremely inconvenient if you roam often else you can switch sims to save money. Also it forces people to switch to AT&T if you want to use iphone in the process loosing your old number as well as your plan. Also people doent want to stick with AT&T for two years. There's also a strong market for iphones outside US so people unlock it to use in whatever country or operator they want. I know another unlock tool named R-SIM 7+, it unlock for iphone 4s and iphone 5.found it here: http://zeromartz.com/rsim7-unlock-sim-for-iphone4s-and-iphone5-p-1628.html, Have not try it but it seems true
So that you could use it on whichever carrier you want. Also it would raise the value of the phone.
Jailbreaking is essentially hacking the phone to do more stuff than what is normally allowed.
- Would you replace your own screen on your iPhone or iPod? Hi, I was just wondering if you would replace your own screen on your iPhone, provided you have the correct tools, videos and guides? And help if you can get access to it? Thanks I'm not looking to replace my screen, I was just wondering if YOU would do it.
- Would you get a notification on your iPhone if your Apple ID was used to log into another device? I'm unsure if I have unknowingly given my Apple ID to a scammer in the past, but I curious would I have received a notifcation on my iPhone, in a form of a text or pop up? I've heard that before and I wanted to make sure. Even if you didn't have two-factor authentication on.
- What would you do if you were watching your favorite show, and your 20 year old kid turned off the TV so that you couldn't watch it? I pay all the bills at the house. I normally watch AHS once a week with my kid. This week, she told me to go watch it in my own room. I told her my TV wasn't working and we would just have to watch it in her room. She turned off the TV so that I couldn't watch it. Then, she pompously pulled out her iPhone and proceeded to watch it on her iPhone. What would you do if this happened to you?
