Wi-Fi hotspot app for iphone?
I want to set my phone up as a hotspot for my laptop. I can't find a way to do it except through at and t which I have to pay for. I don't want to jailbreak my phone.
There's no way you can get a hotspot on a iPhone without jailbreak or paying. Any Android has a built in hotspot app. I have heard of a app called My-fi, but i don't know what phone it is for or if you have to pay. If that doesn't work, then there's no way.
You can't do that! Maybe see if there's a bluetooth app to do that with! There's no MiFi in any iPhone! Not sure why they don't do that!
- What app is good for hotspot? I got an iPhone and like on the android market usually had good apps for free. I need an app that would like make my phone data be able to turn to a Wi-Fi hotspot. Is there one for free that works well.
- What additional cost may occur from making my iphone a personal hotspot? I turned on the personal hotspot option in settings on my iphone but it says additional costs may occur. Does that mean it costs money for me to connect my other devices or just if i exceed the amount of 3g i'm paying for.
- Is the personal hotspot option on the iphone safe? I just learned i can use my iphone as a hotpot and i freaked out! Apparently you go settings, general, network, the it says personal hotspot! So is it safe? More importantly does it cost a lot or free?
- IPhone hotspot without data roaming? I'm roaming and have data roaming turned off. I would like to use the Wi-Fi network my iPhone is connected to to provide Wi-Fi for a laptop. The laptop does not connect to the hotspot until data roaming is turned on, but this is what I'm trying to avoid. How can I get my laptop to connect to my iPhone and then by extension to the Wi-Fi network? The laptop can't connect to the Wi-Fi directly for other reasons.
