Wi-Fi Modem for MTNL Broadband?

I'm residing at Bandra, Mumbai. I'm using MTNL Broadband internet connection. I would like to make my house Wi-Fi connected. My budget is till Rs. 2, 500. Can be extended if it is worth doing so. Area of my house is 745 sq.feet. I have a desktop, an iPhone and a Laptop which I would like to connect with Wi-Fi. Also, I would like to connect my TATA Sky set top box to Wi-Fi to avail VoD service. Can you please suggest me few good modem+router for MTNL ADSL+2 connection? Also can you please explain the procedure to install the Wi-Fi router? If I can also connect my Reliance 3G USB dongle, that will be great. I think, I will require a Wi-Fi dongle for TATA Sky set Top box. I heard that, few Wi-Fi routers also support torrent download applications, but this is not mandatory.

I'm using lava router which uses 3G USB dongle but its range is only 15feet and it has 3 hour battery backup. I'm posting few links which are better than mine

  • Your broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues? My wireless works fine with my iPad and iPhones. But then I try to connect it to my Windows 7 desktop, and it says that it's experiencing connectivity issues? I have the Ethernet cable hooked up to the main router, then my wireless, then into the computer. I've tried restarting them both at the same time, but it's still having the same issue?

  • Tesco broadband. Can I get a stronger Wi-Fi signal? I have Tesco unlimited broadband. It works fine but was wondering if anyone else has trouble with a weak signal when you are say 10-15 meters away through a couple of walls? My laptop picks up 2 out of 5 bars in signal but my iPhone 5 gets nothing at all. Could I upgrade my router? And if so, what would be a good one? Is there such a thing as a signal strength chart or anything like that? Just thought I'd ask.
  • New broadband problems - Switched from virgin to bt? Hi. Ok so bt infinity is working perfectly on the home computer and on Wi-Fi to my iphone. However, it is connected to my MacBook well except it does not load up pages it loads up a page full of letters numbers and symbols! Does anyone know why this is and what I can do to fix it?
