Wi-Fi not working on some devices?
I have several wireless devices in my home. Lately one of them will not respond to the Wi-Fi and when the password is entered, it says "unable to connect to network". This happens with Ipad 2 and Iphone one will work and the other will not- and the reverse.
I have seen the same thing happen. What I found to be true is that the router's signal gets in traffic with others causing the signal to blink. Its like physical traffic on freeways with cars and trucks. The same holds true with Wi-Fi traffic. You may have two routers, but your neighbors around you may have two or three routers respectively. All of which are on the same signal path. As a result they must hop signals and it takes time to pass the other signal. In terms of the "unable to connect to network" your router might need to be replaced, the built in antenna may be shot.
- Would there be a benefit of having bluetooth 4.0 if some devices use older versions? I have the iPhone 5 which supports BLE 4.0 and also own a pebble watch which also supports 4.0. My car however only supports bluetooth 1.2. Does this mean I will not experience the battery benefits of BLE since I will still need to connect to my car which is on the older 1.2 version of bluetooth?
- Wi-Fi won't connect to some devices? I recently moved into a new condo complex. The place comes with Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi will only connect to my iPhone and ipad. It won't even show up to my laptop, my roommates MacBook, or my PS3. The router is an all in one router/modem. Any ideas why it works perfectly with some devices, but I can't even see it on other devices?
