Wi-Fi works incredibly slow on iphone, but fine on other devices. What will
My phone works incredibly slow when it is connected to my Wi-Fi. I can't load youtube videos, Facebook or any other social media apps/websites. They sometimes load, but take forever that I just use LTE data. A Wi-Fi extender did not resolve this issue. My laptop and TV connect to the internet fine and all of my roommates don't seem to have this issue. Are there too many devices connected to the Wi-Fi (my two roommates have their phones, computers, TVs, and printers connected)? Is it just a problem with my phone? I checked the IP address and everything. I pay the Wi-Fi bill and it sucks that I can't even use it. Any tech-savvy people know what will help?
IPhones are for losers
What model iphone? How much free space?
See if you can change the MTU from the default which should be 1500 to something smaller, like 1400. I've had IOS that would not connect with the default MTU but work with a lower one.
Stand no more than 20 feet from your Wi-Fi router and do some testing to see if things get better if you have a strong Wi-Fi connection. Also, I'd change the Wi-Fi passcode for 20 minutes just to make sure I was using the only Wi-Fi device during my test. I'd change the passcode back when I was done.
If you schedule your test with your roomies you should get fewer complaints!
- Wi-Fi works on computer, but not other devices? When I go onto the CPU, Wi-Fi works normally. But when I try using an iPhone 5 and an iPad 2 (both have ios 7+), it won't connect to our home Wi-Fi network. We can tell that Wi-Fi connection is still possible, because our neighbors' Wi-Fi networks show up. Except ours. Why?
- Need an advice! My iphone got wet but still works fine? I spilled my water bottle on my backpack about 2 hours. I just noticed it when I opened my backpack and I saw my iphone 4s got wet, it wasn't submerged it's just wet. It still works fine, quickly I turned it off and haven't yet checked anything because I was shocked. Now that I got home I put it on a bag of rice. What to do after this? How long should I put this? I'm afraid if I turn it on before the phone completely dries it will get a problem.
- My IPhone works completely fine sometimes but a lot of times I can't use it and it's completely unresponsive to my touch? I scheduled an appointment to fix my very cracked screen and I was just wondering if this will fix my problem for sure or is there something else that may be causeing the screen to be unresponsive?
- My Iphone won't receive messages but Imessage works on other devices? I can send and receive messages with Imessage on my computer but my Iphone doesn't receive any and the messages send as text messages instead when I text someone with an iPhone. I've reset it already and tried restoring it and it did't help.
