Will a petty theft affect the job i already have?
My friend and I stole from Wal-mart. I stole an Iphone case and he stole Gatorade and candy. We're both employed. Will this affect the jobs that we already have? I'm 16 and he is 17.
It might get you fired, if they find out about it. Your episode will tell employers that you can't be trusted.
Probably not. I don't think it's serious enough. It's not to be taken lightly. But a felony would be different.
It will not unless your employer wants to do another background check. This would be very unusual.
That was an incredibly idiotic thing to do, if you work at the Walmart that you stole from pretty sure you and your friend will be fired.

I fired several people who worked for me when I found out about crimes. The company might wait for a conviction but isn't obligated. Companies need people who are trustworthy
