Will apple repair my iphone 4 screen glass?
I dropped my iPhone 4 and the glass cracked on the front, it's not the actual screen, just the glass that covers it, everything else works fine, I read on some Apple forums that if you take your phone to an Apple store, they repair it for free, is this true? Has anyone had to pay for Apple to repair their screen, if so, how much?

You break it, you pay it. Why would Apple pay for it? Maybe check your insurance, with a bit of luck it is covered.
- Will a tempered glass screen protector prevent screen from cracking? What does a tempered glass screen protector do really? Their being sold on ebay and I need something that will help preventing my iphone 5s from cracking besides a case.

I have an iPhone 4s My phone is working perfectly accept for the smashed screen I have had it for 7 months I have no insurance I did not buy the phone directly from an apple shop If I made an appointment would they fix it for free?

Would it be cheaper for me to buy a used iphone 4, or to go get it repaired by someone who is experienced, or should i try to repair it myself? Also, if i do decide to just get the screen repaired, does anyone know of a place i can take it to get repaired fast, cheap, and a place that is reliable? I do not have applecare.

So my question is should I buy a replacement kit for around $30 and try to do it myself? Or send it into Mission Repair (I've had good work with them) for $100 and have them do it? I feel like I will mess something up on my iPhone if I do it. But then if I don't do it, I'll have to wait for it to ship, fix it, and then send it back and also be out $100.
