Will I be able to track my iPhone?

I think someone stole it when I set it next to my back pack so I can go up to my teacher to ask her a couple questions. It is a large classroom.

I went to icloud.com and I have my iphone registered under my apple ID, but keeps saying it is offline. If the thief enables Wi-Fi on it, will it notify me the location or not?

If the iphone is turned off when you are trying to track it through icloud then you will have no luck finding it. Also its possible that they reset your phone and then, sadly, you will not be able to track it even when the iPhone is turned on.

If you had the lookout app you can track it down and if location services are on you can find it if the thief hasn't restored it already

  • Will Apple or AT&T be able to track my stolen iPhone 5 if I never activated it? Had iPhone shipped to my house and when I opened the box it was empty. Could have been FedEx or a neighbor due to it sitting outside my door for awhile.

Okay so I found this iPhone 4/4s and I gave it to the people in the mall they gave it back to me because the owner didn't claim it in 2 months. The phone still has service and it's working correctly. What would happen if the owner started to track the iPhone and traced it back to me. Is there a way for them to trace it back to me? Even tho I took out the sim card?

I used my mom's iphone to track the phone with this app but it says offline. Is is offline because the phone is turned off or because the Find my iPhone is not activated? Should I report this to the police? Will they be helpful because it was stolen in Philly but I live in Jersey. I just got the phone not even a month ago. Are there any other solution to find a stolen phone?
  • I don't have icloud or find my iphone. Is there anyway to track my iphone 4? I'm using Verizon. I just lost it this morning. It's still on and I've tried calling it multiple times, but no one picks up. I don't have icloud or find my iphone. I was told to try using find my iphone through another iphone by using my apple ID. It only tracked the iphone I was using at that time rather than my own even though I was using my apple ID that I would use to purchase things off the app store. Is there anyway I can still track it if I have a serial number?
