Will I be able to unlock my iPhone with a home phone plan instead of a wireless plan?
I don't have a wireless plan with AT&T but I have a home phone plan does that count towards unlocking requirements? And also can I use a mildly cracked screen as a replacement screen on my iPhone?
IPhones only work with wireless plans.
You can't replace the phone because of the cracked screen because Apple's warranty does not cover that unless you paid for Apple Care.

- Today my dad upgraded to an iphone 10, and because he has the forever iphone plan he was able to keep his old phone and he gave it to me? I synced all of my apps and contacts from my old phone, a samsung, to the new one, when I texted one of my friends, I found out I was sending messages through my icloud address and I had no service. Is this something I'll have to call my carrier about to switch my number, or can it be done manually and from the phone's settings. If the it's the latter, what steps would I have to take?
