Will I enter into a contract with network carrier automatically when I active iphone 5s?

Someone bought a contracted iphone 5s, but he didn't active it. If I buy the iphone from him, and insert my own sim card, would I enter into a contract with my network carrier automatically, and need to pay for the contract?

Your question makes absolutely no sense.

If you already have a SIM card, I imagine you already have an active account/line with a carrier. If you put your active SIM card into your phone, then that iPhone will use your service.

It will not enter you into the contract that your friend signed up for. It might change your data plan to fit the appropriate iPhone data plan.

Keep in mind that just because he didn't activate his iPhone doesn't mean his contract hasn't taken effect. It's still in effect, and he is still obligated to make the payments he signed up for. If he doesn't pay, or otherwise cancels his account, you might end up with a blacklisted phone, and you will no longer be able to use it. He can also report it lost or stolen, which will also blacklist it and permanently disable the phone from being used with a network.

His account because active the moment he signed that contract, not the moment he activates his phone. I can't understand why he would buy a phone under contract and immediately sell it to you - so take caution if you choose to buy this. Only buy it if you really trust he isn't trying to scam you.

  • Why do i have to enter my password for my itunes account every time i go into my music on my iphone? Every time i open my music app on my iphone 5c it pops up a box telling me to sign in to the itunes store. When i click cancel it keeps popping up until i type my password. It's been happening for about 3 days now and it won't stop happening. Is there any reason for this to be happening? If so, is there a way to stop it from happening? It's really obnoxious having to type my password every time i want to listen to music.
  • Not receiving notifications or able to enter some apps on my iphone because network problems? Recently, i haven't been able to go into some apps due to network issues. At moments, I'm able to. I can go to safari and it can go slow or normally. I've taken the plug out of the router and placed it back in, turned off my Wi-Fi connection on the iphone. I don't know what do do… When i was connected to the Wi-Fi at my school, everything went normally--received notifications and was able to msg as normal.
