Will I have to pay Vat on iphone? (from united states to ireland)?
I'm a student studying abroad from the United States in Ireland, and I ordered the iphone 5 because I had the upgrade with my phone company there. I got it to delivered to my moms house in california. Now I'm wondering if she ships it to me as a gift, will I still have to pay VAT on it when it arrives? I'm not trying to pay like 200 *** dollars in VAT.
Import duty plus handling charge and vat on the postage.
Will it work in the UK?
- Will I have to pay VAT on an iphone sent to the UK? I bought an iphone 4 (non contract and unlocked by ATT) here (in the US) and i'm sending it as a gift for my girlfriend. I want to send it to her, but I don't know if I will end up paying customs or not? Is there a price limit that I have to be under to not pay VAT? Thank you I'm guessing there's no way to avoid it, unless I do not declare it right?
- What are the status symbols in the United States? I have to do a project about the Status symbols in the united states nowadays. For example in my country an iPhone is an status symbols because just the people who have lots of money can get it. I would like to know what inventions, objects, etc are the status symbols in the united states.
- SimCard Activation for United States? I live in Canada and I'm planning to go to New York, My plan was to bring my phone device over there however I didn't want to do a international plan with my phone company as they are TOO EXPENSIVE! I wanted to get a "Pay As You Go" or "Cheap" plan with a SimCard just for ONE WEEK. Does anyone know which carrier I can do this with? And who supports the new IPhone 5 or IPhone in general? Also the phone company I'm with now is FIDO. Any suggestions?
- Miniclip 8-Ball Pool Update removed avatar and thinks I'm in United States? I play 8-Ball Pool via Miniclip mostly on my iPhone but ever since I've updated it, it seems to think that I live in the United States and it won't let me choose my Avatar any more… Is there a way on amending this?
