Will I have to replace my iPhone?
My iPhone 5s has been having problems with the sensitivity of the touch screen, particularly at the bottom.
It acts as if my finger was there, even in cases where I set it on a table. An example is it holds the buttons like the spacebar or rapidly clicking letters on the keyboard typing randomly.
This happens randomly and usually going in and out of sleep mode fixes it but it comes back eventually.
I noticed it occurs less when I don't have a case on, but it still happens.
Is this because of pressure on the phone itself or something else? Is it serious?
And will I need to replace my phone?
You don't need to replace the phone.
Most of the people rush and get their phones replaced whenever the screen starts acting funny.
The display of the phone is a separate part and it works as the main input component.
The display can be replaced easily and won't even cost much. Just get the display replaced. I'm 99% sure it will solve the problem.
- Will Apple replace my iPhone 5 if I have Applecare+? I have an iPhone 5 with Applecare+. Aren't they discontinued? Would the store give me a 5C or 5S? Or do they keep NEW 5's in stock? I'm replacing it because the battery life is horrible… There's no water damage or anything like that. It is a 64GB white model. It also cuts off randomly and has some glitches. Can't say I know what is going on with it. If you could answer these questions it would be awesome!
