Will I need an electrical/power adapter to travel to England? (I live in Canada)?

I'm traveling to England next summer to visit some family for a month and I was wanting to bring my laptop and phone along with me. I have a Sony Vaio and iPhone 4 (I don't know if that makes a difference at all). If I need to get one, what type do I buy and where can I purchase one? Preferably not online.

Buy it at the airport.

No.

The days when we worried about voltage and frequencies of power supply for our low power electronic devices are over, they all work everywhere in the world.

All you need is a simple plug converter from our flat bar plugs to the round bar plugs in England. Buy one at the nearest The Source store for about $ 2.00.

Note, you MUST get a prepaid plan for your phone for about $ 60. That gives you about 40 min of telephone time and about 150 SMS messages. For all outgoing calls, use www.skype.com (2 c/min) on WiFiand any internet activity at all. You MUST use Wi-Fi as well as for All internet activities on your phone. There's Wi-Fi everywhere, just ask for the password if needed.

If you don't, be forewarned, a two (2) min visit on your Facebook while away from Canada will cost you about $ 25.00 (Twenty five dollars). That is the same as if you go to USA - BE FOREWARNED.
