Will I regret buying a 16gb iphone 5?
I'm choosing iPhone 5 because I'll start working and I feel the need of having a single device where you I can do everything.
Music: I'm a music person, so I'll be importing lots of songs (but not too much)
Videos: Not really a movie person, so I don't think I'll be importing videos.
Picture: I usually transfer my photos to my laptop.
Apps/games: I only download twitter, facebook and instagram. Games, not too much as well. About 3 games are enough, when I don't like it anymore I usually delete it.
Others: messages, contacts and etc. I'm not really sure, can you please tell me?
I used to own a 32gb itouch and I only used about 10gb of it (not just for songs, but for everything already) So umm. What do you think? Thank you!
Added (1). Gerry: I'm a loyal user of Apple, so yeah.
Added (2). I was referring to the capacity of Apple ALONE. I didn't ask you guys to recommend other brands.
Yes its a i phone
Why pay the ridiculous price for an iphone when you can buy perfectly reasonably priced phones? If you are into touch phones then you could get a samsung galaxy mini, or an LG optimus L3 for hundreds less than you would pay for an iphone.
If you want a standard phone for calls, texts, occasional web browsing email… With a basic camera, then nokia has a wide range of phones like that for cheap, and reasonable prices
Eg, The nokia c models
In 16 GB model you wouldn't get 16gb free, you'll get around 10 gb free… Others are occupied by apps that comes with it.
As for what I can gather go in for the iPhone 5 16 GB as some apps consume a lot of memory and you never know if you like a few apps or more music. It's good to have all the photos, music, videos, messages in one place and do choose an i cloud backup.
I strongly don't recommend an iPhone. And there's tons of arguments I could give on that, but I'll concentrate on what you said. If you like music as much as I do, you probably have a file containing all your music on your computer, and it's probably (or will get one day) over 16go of memory. So I recommend you get an android, where you can insert and eject very easily a miniSD card (some can hold 64go of memory!), that you can fill up with music from your computer.
Now for apps. The Play Store holds much apps and especially free apps than the app store, so no arguing on there.
If you have a macbook, I'm not sure about compatibility, and you can use iCloud with an iPhone… So if that is your case an iPhone with a little higher memory may be a good solution.
16GB was able to last my mum for 2 years on an iPhone 4. Yes, based on your usage patterns, 16GB should be suitable for you.
I'm kinda in the same boat. My Galaxy S2 is 16GB, only 10GB is usable, still have 2GB free (and I use my phone pretty heavily for custom ROMs and backups (which take up a lot of space.
Think you should be fine.
- Will i regret getting gs4 over the iPhone 5? I want to get the gs4 but think i might regret it, I've had an iPhone for 2 years, here are my concerns 1.think i may not like the layout of all the apps 2. I will have to download all new games
- Will a 16GB iPhone 5 have 16GB of space? I want to get an iPhone 5 and the 16GB will suffice, however I'm concerned about the actual space. I have a 32GB iPod Touch but according to iTunes the maximum space available is 28.5GB. Could I expect this sort of thing to happen on the iPhone?
- My new 16gb iPhone 5s' storage doesn't equal 16gb? I bought a 16GB iPhone 5s and when i go to Settings > General > Usage, it says i used 2.3 GB and i have 10.6 GB available. And that would equal 12.9 GB. Shouldn't it equal 16GB?
- Is a 16GB iPad mini enough space if I already have a 16GB iPhone 4s? So I'm in the market to get an iPad mini and I'm very hesitant to spend the $100 extra for 32gb since I already have a 16gb iPhone 4S.Am I correct in this thinking? And how could I allocate storage between the two devices if it is enough?
