Will iPhone 5 work with Pioneer AVH-P3300BT?

I'm looking at buying the iPhone 5 (Verizon) and I have a Pioneer AVH-P3300BT car stereo installed. Other than getting the cord adapter, will the phone sync in with the car stereo?

Being that the AVH-P3300BT is old and the iphone5 just came out, the only way to find out if they are compatible is to try it.

I'd contact Pioneer and ask them. Permanent damage to either unit could result from them being incompatible with each other.

  • Will this Pioneer head unit fit in my 2005 Honda Civic EX? I just bought a 2005 Honda Civic EX as my first car and wanted to get a better set up where I could hook my iPhone up to. I was looking at this Pioneer head unit and was wondering if it would fit in the car. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-X6500BT If it would fit, how much would it cost to install? I'm 16 and can't install it myself unfortunately, so I would need to pay somebody to do it.

  • Why does my Pioneer car deck skip? I have a DEH-X6500BT. When I use it for Pandora, it doesn't skip, but when I plug my iPhone into it (or use the bluetooth connectivity) it will start playing a song for a while (usually around a minute and thirty seconds), and then I hear a whoosh, the song gets muffled, and it skips to the next song. What's up with this?
