Will Iphone 5s Gold from T-Mobile! GSM! Work in UAE?
My friend lives in USA and comes to me in a few weeks. He is going to order GSM "Iphone 5S Gold from T-mobile" and bring it to me. My questions is:
Will it work with another carrier in UAE? Or is it locked to T-Mobile? On the official website it says:
"If you buy iPhone for T-Mobile, it will arrive with a nano-SIM card already installed that you can activate by visiting an Apple Retail Store or a T-Mobile store or by calling T-Mobile. When you travel internationally, you can use a nano-SIM card for iPhone 5s from a local GSM carrier."
2) and will I be able to use LTE in my country on this phone? (my carriers provide LTE service)
Added (1). Joe, I meant if I change the sim-card to the sim-card from the local carrier with 4G service, will it work?
And is it necessary to unlock? (since there's no jailbreak for iOS 7 yet)
This website will tell you what 4G networks you can use your iPhone with around the World (there are different iPhone models).
It would need to be unlocked too plus with most mobile networks, you can only use the 4G service in the country where you bought the plan. They won't let you use another 4G network abroad with their sim card.
- UAE purchased iPhone, can be used in India? I purchased iPhone 6S almost 1 month back in UAE, Abu Dhabi. I will move to India next month. Can I use my iPhone there in India? Or I have to get it unlocked and all. IIm just worried I purchased just few days back.
- Verizon iPhone 5 comes gsm unlocked so if the esn is bad can you still use gsm? I was wondering sense the iPhone 5 for Verizon come GSM unlocked, if the ESN is bad can it still be used with GSM networks? Please let me know thanks
- Order from UAE and Deliver to India? How do I get something ordered from www.souq.com which is a UAE based website and how do I get that delivered to Mumbai, India? I need an iPhone from this website and for the same, I need an address for UAE location who can in turn charge me fees and ship this to India. Are there any customs issues? How to avoid this? I'm aware of ShopandShip.com, however, they have very high registration fees of 45$. Is there any other alternate option?
