Will iTunes automatically sync everything from my iPhone to my new iPad?

So I have some music, photos and apps on my iPhone. I bought a new iPad yesterday but haven't had the chance to set it up yet. If I sync it to iTunes will it automatically have all my texts, emails, apps, music, etc? I only want the apps and email stuff, not all the photos and music.

Yes, if you are connected to iCloud and it will do it wirelessly.

After it is hooked up and you select the device, there are different categories like music, photos and apps and a check box to sync each section. Or not.

  • Will my iphone info automatically sync without permission? I'm babysitting and I have my iphone plugged into their computer to charge. I just want to make sure all of my pictures won't upload to their computer. The computer is locked but it's still charging. I also put "don't trust" on the prompt that popped up on my phone about sharing with that computer. I just want to make sure lol.
  • New iTunes 11 won't sync iPhone and iPad properly? Ever since I updated to the new iTunes 11 a couple days ago. The apps don't sync properly within the two devices. It used to be that whenever I deleted an app from itunes it would automatically erase it from both of my devices. Now even if I delete a few apps they will still be on them and I have to go in them and manually delete them, its not that big of a deal but its a huge pet peeve.
  • Iphone, how to sync new music without erasing everything else? Help! I wanted to add a few new songs to my iphone and when I wanted to listen to it later, I noticed that all of my other 200 songs were gone. Did I miss something in the syncing process? Should I change my settings? I'm sure its something simple.
  • If I sync my iPhone to iTunes does it back everything on the phone up? I plugged my iPhone into my laptop and it automatically synced. I then went to get my phone exchanged. I'm scared that this didn't back up my phone and i won't get my contacts back. Can someone give me an answer?
