Iphone, how to sync new music without erasing everything else?
Help! I wanted to add a few new songs to my iphone and when I wanted to listen to it later, I noticed that all of my other 200 songs were gone. Did I miss something in the syncing process? Should I change my settings? I'm sure its something simple.
Ok. You are right, it is quite simple.
In iTunes, you can have various syncing settings.
I would highly suggest making a playing called Your Name's Playlist. Once you have done this, add all the songs you want into this playlist. Plug your iPhone in, when it appears in iTunes, there should be several tabs at the top that say Info, Music, Video. Go to the music tab, and change the default setting so that it syncs by selected playlists. Then, make sure that the tick by your playlist is ticked (this is all being done in the same window under the "Music" tab). Hit sync it the bottom right hand corner and all your songs should be on your iPhone. If you ever want add or delete songs, you can do so by dragging songs into the playlist or deleting songs from the playlist.
- Syncing my iphone to a new itunes will it erase everything else besides my music? Okay I have a problem, my iPhone is already synced to an iTunes account but I want to sync it to a different one. All I want is the music and I'm afraid it will end up deleting everything off my phone like my contacts, pictures, messages, apps.i've already done it once before but i'm afraid it will delete everything because my friend tried syncing hers to a different account and it completely deleted EVERYTHING.
- Syncing iphone without erasing everything? Ok so my dad for some reason wiped our whole computer to put windows 7 on it. And so my whole itunes librairy is gone. I want to add new music but its making me erase and sync. I have over 2000 songs on my iphone and most of it is downloaded off of datpiff (all legal) which means I would have to individually download over 100 albums individually again which is a pain in my ***.Is there anyway to get around this?
- If I sync JUST music to iPhone on a new computer - do I lose everything? Hi, my computer is broken and in for repair but I want new music on my iPhone. If I plug my iPhone into my laptop (after unticking 'allow devices to auto-sync') and ONLY sync music… Will I lose everything on my phone or will my music just change? It suggests in a warning I can only sync to one computer and I'd lose everything - but I don't know if this 'everything' is actually everything - like my pictures - or just all my current music - which would be fine.
- How to transfer music to iphone without erasing other contents? Like it is saying it will erase contents of the iphone. I just want to transfer music from itunes to my iphone without any other change(so I still have pics and contacts)
