Will iTunes work for EVERY apple product?

Basically I have an iPod touch that needs restoring, it's an old one so it's on iOS 3. I've had iTunes 12 for a while I was able to restore an iphone with iOS 4 on it.

My brother says "My version of iTunes is too new to support your iPod"
Is he wrong?
It's iTunes shouldn't it be able to support everything?

Surely apple wouldn't forget to think about the users who still use older apple products?

I was amazed it was able to pick up an iPhone 3 considering how new the itunes is.

Apple do not release iTunes updates that won't work with their devices. All iTunes versions work with all of Apple's devices that can plug into your computer.

You may have to use an older version to support it.

There's no "iPhone 3". That's either a 3G or 3GS.

  • Why is apple so successful even when their product is not that revolutionary? Whenever apple comes with a product, a whole bunch of people try to preorder it. I have no problem with apple what so ever. How do they manage to get people to buy their things even when they are not the best out there? I mean the iphone 5 is like a book with a different cover. The newest ipad is the same thing. Do you think apple needs to make any changes to the hardware? To me, they have to change their operating system. People are tired of just swiping.
  • What's the difference from an OEM product and an original product? I need a new charger for my iPhone and I don't know if I should go buy an OEM charger from eBay or go buy an actual apple charger from Walmart that's going to be way more expensive. Since OEM is basically the same thing without retail packaging, would there be a difference in quality?

I have heard about people who jailbreak their iphones or ipads or ipods and i have always wondered what that means as i don't have an iphone just an ipod which i'm pretty happy with.   • Product Replacement Pending status message from Apple? Sent in my iPhone 4S yesterday, and it was received today. The "service was completed" and now the status message says, "product replacement pending." Does this mean I will get a refurbished phone and how long will it take for me to receive it?
