Will jailbreaking my iPhone 5 harm it?
Will it harm it in any way?
Only thing it'll do is void your warranty
Why would you jailbreak it? Its already really secure because all code is reviewed in appstore, jailbreaking means you are opening it up to install anything outside on there which means it could be viruses.
Jailbreaking in and of itself is harmless. You are simply removing the need for an app to be signed by Apple to run on your device, allowing you to do whatever you want. It won't cause performance issues, bugs, or viruses, like people claim. However, it DOES open you up to any of those, because apps do not need to be verified by Apple. An app for a jailbroken iPhone, or a legitimate iTunes app downloaded from an untrusted source, could be modified with malicious code. So, jailbreaking is fine, if you are careful of what you download.
