Will looking a solar eclipse on your phone safe?
I lost my solar eclipse glasses, so I want to know if it is okay to stare at the eclipse on my iphone, will it damage my eyes?
It won't damage your eyes because a cellphone can't be anywhere near as bright as the sun. It might damage the phone, though.
Probably not
No
You're in luck. The next solar eclipse won't be happening for another couple of years. More than enough time to save up the $$ for a new pair.

Well, it'll be safe, but it might wreck the phone camera…
Yes, but whatever you do don't listen to the sound track. It will probably cause permanent damage to your taste in music.
A little late to be trolling isn't it?
No, you are not looking at the Sun so no possibility for eye damage, but it could ruin the phone's video
- Will this solar charger charge iPhone 4S? I have a small solar panel I got for free from Total Ethiopia. They gave it to me with a rechargable lamp. The panel has an output of* * Pmax - 1.3w * Imp - 236mA * Vmp - 5.5V The panel has different adapters to charge different phone. It charges all phones in my house (Nokia X2, Nokia 1200, Samsung Galaxy S and S II and Nokia 6300.) but i have an iPhone and there's no adapter for it. The Iphone charger output reads 5v___1A. What modification can i do? Will it charge my iphone?
- WHY CAN't I TAKE A PICTURE OF THE SOLAR ECLIPSE? So many people have told me that it would break/damage my phone lens if I do. Which makes no sense to me whatsoever because if you were to go out any other day and take a picture of sun, nothing would happen right? So why during the eclipse? I also didn't get any glasses so I don't want risk viewing it but I was thinking to just record it from my phone and look through it. ( I have an iphone 7) and the camera lens seems pretty strong to me but I honestly don't know?
- Effect of solar storms on gadgets? Since yesterday, my car remote refused to work despite changing the batteries, the gate remote refused to work and no good reason could be found, my iPhone is suddenly not recognised by my PC and my car radio's clock will not be reset. There was a major solar flare yesterday, and I was wondering if all these unexplained gadget crashes at once could have something to do with that, or if it was pure unluckyy coincidence?
- Is there an iPhone 5 solar case? I have seen all over the internet that there are solar powered cases for iPhone 4 and 4S models but not the 5. I also wonder if there are any, if they are affordable and provide a link. If there aren't any, when would they be coming out?
