Will my Contacts, pictures, apps get deleted if I upgrade iOS 9?

I'm trying to delete stuff to have more space so my phone can get backed up. I have an iPhone 6 but it doesn't have a computer connected to it. I don't want to have it say that I have to connect my phone to iTunes when IIm updating. So will my stuff get deleted? Even if it's backed up on iCloud?

It shouldn't.

No it wouldn't get deleted but no harm in doing a backup before starting the update.

  • Will my contacts get deleted when I sync my iPhone? I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.0.1. I always sync my iPhone to my computer through iTunes on a mac. I recently purchased a new Mac notebook and I want to sync my iPhone through this computer now instead of the other one. My new notebook is already authorized through the same Apple I. D. I'm fine and well aware of the applications, music, etc. Products I've purchased through iTunes will be replaced. But will my contacts be replaced?
  • Updated iPhone iOS 6.0 and it deleted All MY CONTACTS I do not have anything stored on icloud. Now, I do have all my stuff stored to my computer on iTunes, i just tried to restore my iPhone, but my contacts are not there. I'm very frustrated and mad that this happened.

As i had over 200 contacts all important numbers that i need! Thank-you for your help! Like can you get them again by connecting your phone to laptop? If so how?
  • Iphone pictures deleted and replaced with my son s photos and contacts? My phone was plugged into the computer to charge. My son tried to download his music onto my ipod as a favor by clicking the button "sync" in his itunes library. Unwittingly he downloaded all of his pictures from his iphone onto my iphone and consequently deleted all of my pictures. My pictures were not previously uploaded to the computer and I would really appreciate some help in retrieving them if it at all possible. My son and I both have iphone 4
