Will my dog die after he ate a piece of my cake?

My dog has had A LOT of dark, and milk chocolate that he sneaks. Now he got into my German-chocolate coconut cake. I at all of the frosting so it was only the cake part and it was about the size of a charger base for an iPhone. Will he die? He hasn't vomited and I was wondering if he built up an immunity! Please Help! I don't want to lose him. He's a 25 pound, 7 year old, Jack Russell and bull terrier MIX

No your dog won't die. So there's no need to worry. However he will mayb will get sick and or have diarrhea for a lil bit. He might be bloated or lazy till it gets outta his system. But overall there's no need to worry. My dog once ate a full size chocolate cake. He was a black lab, and he only got sick an had diarrhea. So no need to worry.

Dog will be fine, my chihweenie aka Chihuahua Dachshund, has gotten into must worse. Just keep in eye on him, lots of water.

Will you die if you eat some cake? Dogs are scavengers they can stomach almost anything. My dog ate a sandwich with the tin foil still on it and he was fine. Hes also swallowed glittery xmas decorations.

Cake and chocolate are very bad for them if given all the time. But if you eat too much cake and chocolate its just as bad for you. Wild dogs are carnivores and should only eat meat but domestic dogs are omnivores like us and need the vitamins of fruits and veg aswell as the protein and fat from meat. This is because wild dogs eat herbivores. Herbivores contain fruit and veg in their stomach and wild dogs eat everything on their prey including the food the herbivore has eaten. Domestic dogs don't get this nutrition so they need it supplemented in their diet. So no a bit of cake won't hurt him. Just don't keep giving it to him because its not good for him to have all the time.

Chocolate doesn't really hurt dogs. I know i had a dog that ate a whole, chocolate cake 2 bags of mnms, 1 bag of chocolate kisses and a 2 pound bag of cocoa powder. She lived to be 16

He will be fine just watch him to see if he acts strangely, if he does take him to a vet straight away. In the meantime give him lots of water.

Only dark chocolate is bad for dogs due to higher amounts of theobromine. Any other chocolate cake, ice cream etc is not going to kill it. The only worse thing taht will happen is it will vomit and have massive diarrhea.
