Will my generation destroy our society?
I'm almost 14 and i'm different than most people my age, i'm more like kids of the past, going outside and doing things, most kids my age swear a lot, are extremely rude and inconsiderate, and they do nothing but stare at their silly smartphones all day. I'm worried, who will build machines? Who will be doctors? Someone i know says that humans have reached their peak and are on the decline, i agree with this very much. I'm a huge train buff and one thing that worries me is who will take care of all the preserved steam locomotives? I'm worried that with this species getting dumber they will be vandalized and become covered with graffiti, their cabs turned into spray painted urinals, no one will be interested in them and they will become neglected piles of rust. No one does anything anymore except for stare at their infernal iphones. I'm scared, i do not want to live in a generation of idiots who aren't capable of building or doing anything. I hate this species…

People in our civilization have been talking about the worst generation coming up since the times of ancient Greece.

No, because that's ridiculous. Are you aware of how many teenagers created brilliant inventions in this generation alone? It seems people of the more recent generations actually care about the environment and human rights more than before. I'm pretty sure this question is asked every single generation.
Tell that person that he/ she is wrong about us being at our peak for there's no such thing. As long as we keep living and the environment around us changes, then so will we. No, your generation will not destroy our society. My great great grandmother told us stories about her generation of youth and the violence she depicted in her stories far surpass the violence of today, it's hard to believe what she went through but she had scars to prove them.

- Why is our generation so stuck up nower days? They all have Louis Vuitton bags and have their nose up in the air and so selfish behavior. Everyone has an iphone too and wearing these stupid michael kor watches
- Why do people destroy iPhones on youtube? Not just iPhones, there are hundreds of videos of people destroying expensive gaming consoles, TVs and other mobile phones. Why would they do that?
- Why are iPhones so important in our society? What's so great about them? I don't get it. Every time i turn on the TV, there's some segment about the NEW IPHONE… Big whoop, it's just a freaking phone, for crying out loud. You make calls with it, you can go online with it, you can take still pics, and you can record video. Wow, no other phone in the world can do that. How revolutionary. Boy, iPhones are amazing
- What things reflect on our generation nowadays? I have an English assignment which is to write down 5 items we would take in a capsule that would reflect on our generation nowadays. I have an ipod touch/iphone, hair straightners and music, I just need 2 more and I have to write why as well because then we have to talk to our groups about it, please someone help. This assignment is in for tomorrow.
