Will my iPhone 4 be replaced if I took it to the Apple Store?

So it's my mother's iPhone 4 actually. She's been having issues with the speaker (the one at the above the touchscreen). It would work one day and fail the next so I gave her my old Android phone when I bought a new one. She prefers the iPhone and is more used to it. If I take it to an Apple Store, are they more likely to replace it with an iPhone 4 or 4s or fix the speaker? It's the contract free iPhone 4. Thanks a lot.

(Her iPhone hasn't been jailbroken or tampered with by a third party. It's the contract free iPhone 4).

If it is still under warranty and you have not spilled anything on it or accidentally damaged it, they will fix it for you or replace it.
