Will my iPhone liquid indicator ever go from pink to white?

So, my phone's been in a bag of rice for almost 24 hours, and the liquid indicator has gone from red, to slightly pink. The indicator isn't white yet, but is it possible that the iPhone's dry but the liquid indicator won't change? I used a vacuum cleaner to suck out the water 40 minutes after it was in rice, and then shoved it back into the bag. I took out the sim and whatnot, but I really need the iPhone in the next 5 hours, otherwise there's no imagining how my parents will react when they hear that I'm going to the mall/friends house without my phone. :/

Nope your phone is toast. The rice thing is a myth.

That thing is a tool so apple knows if they need to void your warranty. It indicates that the phone has been wet, not the presence of moisture.

First, WRONG CATEGORY AGAIN! And no it won't, that just means apple can tell if the warranty needs to be voided or not, it doesn't indicate that the phone is still wet it jus means it's been wet before

  • My IPhone got liquid spilt on it whilst charging? I didn't know and when I unhooked it this morning, the charger smelt burnt and sparked. The bit on the phone where the charger plugs in smells burnt. Is my phone beyond rescuing?
  • Liquid behind my iPhone screen, how to fix it The other day I accidentally spilt air freshener oil on my phone, and the oil has got behind the screen, so when it's on a white background, you can see where the oil is! I've tried putting it in rice but it hasn't worked. The phone works fine but the speaker is slightly damaged. It's on the top of my phone. It's an iPhone so I can't take it apart, and also it not water it's oil so will it dry! Shall I use a hair dryer?
