Will my iPhone sim card be compatible with another phone?
I dunked my purse in a river and everything inside (including my iPhone) was ruined. I was able to retrieve the SIM card, however. Will it work with any other phone? At&t is my provider, if that even matters.
Yes your provider does matter… In a sense.
AT&T uses GSM type cellular communictions. So does T-Mobile.
Your SIM card will only work with phones that work with the GSM type cellular communication.
Verizon, Sprint, Alltell, and US Cellular use CDMA type cellular communications.
There's no SIM card in CDMA phones.
- What sim/card is compatible for Iphone 4? Aside from gevey sim, what are the other sims/cards compatible with iphone 4. I was searching if the xsim of heicard is compatible for iphone 4. The iphone 4 is locked in japan. Don't suggest "factory unlocking". Because here on our country, factory unlocking is higher price than the unit itself.
- Using a SIM card from another phone to an iPhone 4s? So my aunt recently just got the 5s, she's giving me her old 4s. I was wondering if I could take the sim card from my current phone (Some old Samsung phone) and put it into the 4s. Because the iPhone needs an data plan but I don't want to pay for that. To sum it up, basically I want the iPhone to have the same phone plan as my current phone. I don't really know much about how phones work so thanks! What about sim card cutting?
- If I put my phone sim in a 4G compatible tablet, will it work? I have an iPhone Xr, and am looking at getting a tablet to use on occasion with 4G. I will never use them at the same time, so I don't want to pay for two plans if I can just pop my sim from the phone into the tablet. The locked carrier for the tablet and phone would be the same. Hotspoting from my phone to the tablet isn't an option.
- Changing from normal sim card to iPhone 4 sim card? I'm an AT&T customer with a smart phone. I'm wanting to buy an iPhone 4 but I know they take smaller sim cards than normal phones. If I buy an iPhone from an individual, can I take it to AT&T and have them give me a smaller sim card & transfer my information? Would I have to pay extra for it? Is it even possible?
