Will my iPhone sim work in another iPhone?

I have an 8gb iPhone 4 on Vodafone and my cousin's boyfriend is selling a 16gb 4s. I still have a year of my contract left (as carphone warehouse put it, it's my 'phoniversary' today in fact) and really want a 16gb as I'm constantly having to delete photos/music on my current phone, if the new phone is still on Vodafone can I put my sim into his phone and use it for the second year of my contract? I'm desperate for the extra 8gb and really don't want to wait another 10-12months for an upgrade, so will this work?

Yes, if it is the same network phone, any SIM will work

if it were a different network, then 15 pounds or so and the network will officially unlock it for you

  • Will switching sim cards from one iphone to another work? Basically my iphone 4s charging port will not work and won't charge normally and stays at about 5 percent. It also won't connect to my PC. To avoid using i cloud and everything can i just switch one sim card to the new iphone 4s and will all my memory be on there? If not what will?

I've just cut my sim card into a micro sim, Placed it into my iPhone 4s and it states there no sim card in there, They phone was recently unlocked by Telstra and i know it's unlocked because i got a conformation message on iTunes. I would have thought i cut it too small though that same sim card works in my Samsung Galaxy s2 Perfectly? What's the problem and why isn't it working with my iPhone?
