If iphone 5s is bought in the USA will it work on another country's sim card? - 1
I heard from a friend that if I ordered an Iphone from the USA it won't work on other sim cards.
It should since its both cdma and gsm. You won't be able to buy it on contract though if you aren't from the US, so don't think you are getting the contract price.
If you purchase the phone unlocked (which means you have to pay more) then it will work with SIMS in other countries. If the phone is locked, it will not.
- Will my Iphone 5 work in another country? I'm planning on going to America and need to use my phone. I won't be needing it to call people, just to browse the web and to listen to music. My phone IS unlocked. Will I need to change the sim or get a sim from America? I'm from Australia btw.
- Will cutting my sim card work to use as a micro sim card? I just ordered an iPhone 4 and I need to cut the sim card to make it a Micro sim. Will it affect it. I have seen a bunch of video and already have the template it for it. I'm using simple mobile. Do you know if anything wrong happen to it?
- When in a contract, can I get a different SIM while in another country? I'm going to china in 15 days and I want an IPhone so I can take pictures and have data while I'm there. I'm staying for an entire month. Getting this IPhone (with either sprint or T-mobile) with put me in a 2 year contract. Will I be able to use my phone while I'm there with the new SIM card I'm buying in China. I heard that my phone will be locked while I'm out of the country or something.
