Will re-syncing my iPhone to iTunes affect my playlists?

I've just cleaned my laptop for space, which included wiping all the music from my iTunes library to create more space. Afterwards, I connected my iPhone to the laptop to add some new songs, but the iTunes wouldn't allow me to do so unless I turned the manual library management option on. As I proceeded, I received a warning that because the library on my phone was different from that of the iTunes, it needed to replace my phones library with songs from my iTunes. So then I re-added all the music that I've previously wiped onto the iTunes, so I think I don't need to worry about any songs being truly removed from my phone due to both devices having the same songs. However, what does concern me is whether or not all of my preset playlists will be emptied in the re-syncing process or not.

Apple products eh.

  • Will replacing my existing laptop hard drive affect my iTunes/iPhone? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but with me possibly losing my data from the main 2 devices I use in life I want to be sure. I've made a system image using windows 7's built-in backup software and will be replacing my faulty hard drive with a larger capacity new one. Seeing as it's a full system image it should save all the iTunes program data, settings, media (songs/videos) and iPhone backup shouldn't it?
  • Will my location affect iTunes? I want to download some Japanese music onto my iPhone 5c but can't find any of the desired songs how can I change this?
  • Why do playlists on my Iphone keep messing up? I have an Iphone 5, there are some playlists in which I try to rearrenge a song, and after I save the changes, the song moved to a different position. This appears to happen on AAC songs that I converted from itunes, I did this because Itunes suddenly stopped allowing me to change the name of artists or songs. Any idea of why this is happening? Is there effectively a relation between the AAC songs and the bugged/corrupted playlists?
  • Why can I no longer drag playlists made in my itunes to my iphone? I used to be able to plug my phone in then just drag my playlists into the phone. I've always kept the phone settings on manual so I can manage the music myself. Now, since I've updated to the newer version of iTunes, I can't drag the playlists over, or the individual songs within it. It's driving me insane
