Will restoring my iphone 4s to factory settings make it faster?
I want to start fresh and new. Will restoring my iphone make it faster or will it mess up my iphone?
Depending on how much stuff is on it, if there's, then restoring it to factory settings will improve the speed, at least until it syncs with itunes again.
HOWEVER
Your speed issues could just be because there are alot of apps open in the background
on the HOME SCREEN, double tap the CIRCLE BUTTON, this will show the apps running in the background
hoold your finger on one of the apps until in enters WIGGLE MODE and then tap the 'X' on the top left of each icon until all are closed
then your phone should speed up
- Would restoring my iphone to another iphones settings change the imei? Basically i bought a phone from cex about 2 weeks ago and one of the buttons has stopped working. I went into the store and they said they could not fix it because the imei's were not the same. Could i have changed it by restoring it to my old iphone's setting via the restore feature on itunes?
- Will the MAC address of my iPhone reset if I reset my iPhone to its factory settings over iTunes? I have jailbroken my device and used terminal to change my MAC address so that I could connect to school's Wi-Fi. But when I wanted to change it to its initial number, I typed in a wrong value and it just messed up my Wi-Fi, I can't connect to Wi-Fi anymore. Wonder if resetting to factory settings would help…
- Will restoring my iPhone to factory settings remove software updates? I currently have 6.1.4 and I want to restore it back to 6.1.2. If I reset to factory, will it set it back to 6.1.2? I really wanna know. Anything helps thanks
- Will restoring my Iphone to facorty settings erase my data? I have upgraded my iphone 4s to the new iOS, and then a few days later, tried connecting my device to my PC ( i have the new itunes). It, however, tells me that it can't connect to my iphone and that i should go to 'Preference' and select to 'restore to factory' settings. Will this erase my data and 'degrade' my phone to the previous iOS?
