Will restoring my Verizon iPhone remove my number and/or service?
So, I have a Verizon iPhone 4S. It doesn't have a SIM card, because Verizon runs on CDMA. I was wondering, if I restored it through iTunes, would it get rid of my number/service? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm not positive, but probably, it restores to factory settings. Call your verizon provider number and ask a specialist.
No because verizon is CDMA and doesn't use sim. If it's a sim carrier like At&t you can remove service by taking out SIM card. For verizon you need to call customer service or go to verizon store to deactivate your service from the phone.

- Switching number from Verizon to Straighttalk AT&T. How to keep my old number? Right now, I have a Verizon noncontract phone. I'm buying an iPhone 4 from a friend which is on the Straighttalk AT&T micro sim plan. I'm moving to the Straighttalk AT&T plan and need to know how to get my number changed over and where to get a new micro SIM card from.
