Will restoring your iPhone take everything off?
I'm gonna get a new phone so I'm giving this one to my brother and I don't want any of my stuff left on here like my iTunes username or email and etc basically I want it back like a new phone
A restore would do exactly what you are after. Or you can just go into the settings>general>reset and then clear content and reset settings if you don't have a computer around.
Restoring your iPhone will bring it back to factory settings " how your iPhone would be had you just bought it from the store without activating it with any of your account information what so ever."
- All of the media, contacts, photos, applications, etc will be erased off of the device
- Will restoring my iPhone clear everything? Will it delete absolutely everything? Like photos, music, Internet history and any passwords to social networking sites, texts, contacts, etc. If not, how do I do that?
- When you sync your iphone to your computer does it copy everything onto your pc? I have broke my iphone to the point where it is un repairable, i only sync my iphone the other day to my pc does this mean everything what was on my iphone was copied and saved to it? Or have i lost everything?
- When you restore your iphone, does it wipe out everything from your itunes? I understand that it will wipe out everything from your physical iphone, but i was wondering if it would wipe out everything on your itunes account to, such as music.
- When you do a Iphone backup from itunes does it DELETE Everything off your current phone? Ok i'm going to backup my iphone 5c tonight on through itunes does that delete everything? Cause i plan on getting a iphone 6s tomorrow and i don't want my phone to be totally wiped out before then!
