Will the iPhone 5 be significantly more expensive than the iPhone 4S?

Basically, will the pricing for a new iPhone 5 be the same compared to the current iPhone 4S? Or do you think it will be more than the price of the iPhone 4S now? I'm contemplating just waiting for the iPhone 5 to buy a new phone but if it's going to be significantly more expensive than the iPhone 4S then I don't know if it is worth it.

Considering Apple's pricing of the iPhone over the last 5 iterations of it have been the same, I wouldn't see it being any different.

It will probably be $199 as always for the lowest model (with 2 year contract/upgrade)

Well Judging on how new it will be… And how more easier it will be i'm sure it will. My predictions 8G $299.99 16G $399.99 32G $499.99 and the 64G $550.00

My guess would be no, as long as Apple's marketing guys stay sane.

See, the important thing is that it's usually not a tremendous upgrade, so Apple can usually keep costs low since it's not bleeding edge tech - just more concise tech with some nifty upgrades.

It is worth it, and it'll be the same price as the current iPhone, but you have to wait to get it. By then the iPhone 4S will cost 150, and the new iPhone 199 for the 16gb 299 for the 32gb and 399 for the 64gb

It'll probably cost as much as the iPhone 4 did when it was new, probably not more.

The price will be the same as the iPhone 4S are.

Umm. I would say this is totally Apple's call for much they want to sell it. I'm sure they will be competitive as there are many good smartphones in the market. For ex. Samsung Galaxy S 3
