Will the iPhone 5S support apps when they update to iOS13 versions?

I heard the iPhone 5S will not get IOS13. Which I do believe if will happen because this is an old device. My question is, how long will apps like Facebook and Instagram be able to run on these phonea in iOS 12?

There's no way for anyone to know how long the app support will last. However, it may be possible that services may require an updated app in order to sign in. I can't remember a specific app, but I have had that happen in the past on older iOS devices. I would download the last app version that is compatible with that iOS version. However, whenever I would attempt to sign in, I wasn't able to do so since that specific app version wasn't supported anymore.

However, I expect that those apps will still continue to work in the future. However, any features that FB might add in the future may not work correctly (or at all, or be available) in older versions of the app.

What you can do is just not upgrade and keep your phone as is. Its not like stuff "stops" working so what you have on it now will always work.

The iPhone 5s has a 64 bit architecture. It is possible. However everything is speculative; only Apple knows and they won't tell us until the keynote they have in September
