If you time it perfectly you can get a used one for half price. Many of those people that stand in line for 8+ hours when a new one is released are very impatient people who are bad with money. Usually on launch day the used market gets flooded with last years model.
Last year I got the 64GB iPhone 5s in mint condition. With a Lifeproof Fre case and Otterbox case both in mint condition. All for $425. That was over $1,000 worth of stuff new.
The highest end models get the heftiest discounts. A 16GB iPhone 6 might do a $100 less than a 128GB iPhone 6 plus.
These deals are usually only within a day or two of launch day. So if you wait a week for a deal it will be too late and prices will jump up.
Buy off eBay from a reputable seller. It's too easy to buy a stolen one off Craigslist then have it lock down a couple days later. If you buy off Craigslist be sure the phone is reset and find my iPhone is off. To be reasonably sure it is legitamite. As you reset an iPhone with Find my iPhone enabled without the password.

I was going too try too suck it up and wait for the new iphone too come out in September but I'm going crazy without my phone! I can't keep in contact with anyone i need too and Its driving me insane. All the prices for the iphone 5 are high and when the new one comes out the price is dropping BY DOUBLE for the iphone 5. I don't know what to do someone help me please!

I don't need the new features of the 5S and I'm fine getting a 5 for a cheaper price. I noticed a lot of retail stores don't sell 32GB models for the iPhone 4 anymore, so will they still sell 32GB models for the 5 when the 5S comes out? Also, how long does it usually take for the price drop when a new iPhone model comes out?
