Will this internet relationship work?

I've been with this person I met online for 3 months. I try to learn more and more about how internet relationships work. We've never met. She lives in Oklahoma and I live in California. We've sent pictures of each other and social media sites to each other. I read that the internet can misinterpret how people act in real life. We talked how we act in real life but I'm not sure. I really want this to go well. I know she's not an online predator. We're younger then 18 so we can't really just fly and meet each other. We haven't told our parents because we're scared something might happen. We're planning to video chat when I get my iphone. (I'm not a rich person) I love her. I want to know if it works but I haven't read any stories similiar to ours. I want to see if this would work. If it does I'll keep this relationship. Maybe even meet her in the future. If it doesn't. I'll have to do more thinking.

I'm also in a an online relationship, hes my first boyfriend but hes been in an online relationship for a couple of times. For me this kind of relationship will work if both of you want to keep it going and real. Also loyalty and trust are way important, don't cheat on her and vice versa. You both are young and will go through major problems like one is most likely to give up but its important that you'll talk it out or if one needs space, let them be.

Can't you skype her on your computer/laptop?
Most internet relationships don't work in my opinion… It's good that you read how the internet can misinterpret how people act in real life. The problem with internet relationships is that you can only see what they want you to see. You'll most likely see the best side of them (emotionally), without seeing any problems they might actually have in real. Same with appearance wise. Girls obviously only like to put up the best pic's of themselves, and sometimes they go a little overboard with the editing etc and look nothing like their pic.
Video chat As soon as possible. That's one way to find out if you'll really get along with each other in real life. 3 months without having video chatted is a little odd, it's best to be as honest with each other as soon as possible seeing how you can't meet yet irl.
It's possible to work but you have to see the way she is irl (through video chat I guess is your best bet, and if she has a fb?).
Just be careful. I hope you've seen the movie / tv show Catfish lol.

It might. You should talk to her a bit more, doesn't seem like you two talk much. Video camming is always great, do it more if you can. The parent situation is also very tough, I wouldn't recommend you telling it to them any time soon unless you are completely confident that this girl is the one, but that is hard to tell when you have never met her in real life before. For now though, keep the relationship going, but don't do anything naughty. But, as you are under 18, focus more on school than this relationship.

My opinion aside, internet relationships are "risky," - I've no other way to put it. Some people meet the love of their life on the internet, others aren't so lucky. You two are young, which complicates the internet relationship further. But, as in any relationship, don't do anything shady, however tempting it might be! Stay loyal to your partner, and it might just work out once you two graduate school. An internet relationship IS a relationship, just without physical contact - and as such, treat it as such.

If you guys aren't meeting then don't waste your time.
You both are young and you need a lot of money to travel, hotel, food, and so on. If you think you can make it, then go on. If not then just give up. You will end up hurt and get bored of not having her in your real life.
