Will updating ios 7 on my iphone costs charges on my bill using cellular data?
I wanted to update ios 7 on my iphone 4s using the cellular data, will it costs some extra charges on my bill afterwards? But i do have hotspotshield VPN elite, does it helpful?
Don't use your cellular data. You'll end up using up to 1GB for the download and if you go over your monthly limit you'll get charged an arm and a leg extra.
Find a Wi-Fi hotspot somewhere.
Don't do system updates using a data plan. No those would not help. If you want to update it on your phone, use a Wi-Fi connection.
You can't. That is to say when you run an update or upgrade to the IOS it will ONLY work off of Wi-Fi or using a hotspot from ANOTHER phone or device. The phone can't update the IOS from cellular data. And in that case yes since a hotspot works off of cellular data and the file is nearly 2GB is size.
- Will I receive data charges for using the hotspot feature on my iphone? I would like to use the internet on my laptop during a road trip. Can I connect to the internet using an Apple iPhone 4? If I do so, will I receive data charges on my iPhone or will this use up my monthly allowed data as per my monthly data plan?
- When you have Wi-Fi and cellular data on at the same time, does it use cellular data? If I keep my cellular data on and also have my iPhone connected to Wi-Fi, will it use any of my cellular data?
- Using location services on iPhone while cellular data is off? If I have turned off cellular data on my iPhone 5 and have location services on, will I be charged? In other words, do location services use cellular data when Wi-Fi is not available, even though I have turned off cellular data?
- My iPhone 4 is using my cellular data even though its connected to Wi-Fi? The Wi-Fi is working for everything else and still works now that I've turned my cellular data off. It used about 0.75 gigs when it should've been using the Wi-Fi. Please help. Does anyone know why it's done this or how I can stop it from doing it in the future?
