Will updating to iOS 7 clear my data?
If I update to iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 version 6.1.4, will updating clear out my apps, photos, data?
Also, will my phone number stay on the iPhone 5? As in that it won't clear out and have to head back to the store to fix it?
No, It won't unless you don't have enough space
You'll be fine as long as you back up. However, please be aware that your device will get deactivated if you try to install iOS 7 without registering your device's UDID with a site like UDID.in. It's $5, and they literally registered my 4S instantly.
