Windows 7 ASUS laptop unable to connect to modem, but other devices can?
Recently my ASUS A54C laptop stopped connecting to my new modem (wirelessly), I can connect to the same modem with all my other devices including: iphone, ipad, smartphone and 2 other devices, except for my ASUS laptop. I can connect to other networks with my ASUS laptop just not my new modem. The modem got configured by the my ISP (adam internet) it is a NetComm wireless modem. I also can successfully connect to the modem via Ethernet cable. When i try to connect wirelessly i put the password in then it says 'unable to connect to (my network name)' in the troubleshooter it says no problems could be found.
I will list everything i've tried to do:
Turning my laptop off and on again,
Completely re-formatting my ASUS laptop,
Changing my mac address on my internal wireless adaptor (in case they blocked me or something),
Unplugging my modem overnight,
Changing to 'safe mode with networking',
Deleting Anti-Virus Software,
Hard resetting the modem
I know it isn't the wireless card in my laptop because i can connect to other networks.
Please help i have been like this for almost 3 weeks trying to figure this out for almost 2 hours everyday! 5 stars and 10 points for best answer please.
You didn't say you tried deleting the connection and starting fresh.
- Windows was unable to connect to thomson router? I accidentally turned my router off today for about 10 minutes (Thomson TG585 v7) and now I can't connect with any device at all, ipad, iphone, laptop, ps3 etc. I've gone through all of the settings in the router to try and configure it but nothing I do works. I've had this problem many times in the past but it comes back on and things can connect again… Sometimes, it's just unpredictable.
- Unable to connect to iTunes on certain devices? When I try to connect to my iTunes account on my iPod or my PC, it doesn't work. On the PC, it gives me error message 50 and says a network connection can't be established. On the iPod it just says "can't connect to iTunes store". I tried to connect my other iPhone and my iPad to the same account, and they worked fine. I know my internet is working. What's the problem and how do I fix it?

- One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect? We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?
