With apple iphone 4 facetime?

I just bought an apple iphone 4 from my friend. I haven't set it up with a mobile carrier yet, but I was wondering can you still facetime without having it in service. Just via Wi-Fi? Or do you HAVE to have it set up with a carrier to be able to use the facetime app?

  • Will a spoof card (caller id block) work for apple facetime? Ok so a spoof card changes the number that appears on someone's caller id. Will a spoof card work for an iphone's facetime? I'd just like to get your opinion before i invest in an iphone? Also, if you use a spoof card, there's no way of tracing you, right?
  • Why would Apple make FaceTime only compatible with iOS devices? It doesn't make sense what if someone has an Android! Then FaceTime is useless to the person with the iPhone who wants to video chat with the person with the Android. Someone please tell me why Apple did this, I know it's a stupid question but its bugging me

  • My iPhone froze during FaceTime? I was face timing and it froze out of no where. I tried everything to holding down both buttons, and trying to turn it off but nothing will help. Please give me a good option to help unfreeze it.
