Words with friends invite from supposed Words Official says giving away thousands of free iPhone X's, does anyone know about this scam?

Words Official: JA7R says: "To celebrate Words with Friends as the #1 Words app, Apple is allowing us to give away thousands of iPhone X's. Players seeing this message are already qualified. Visit iphoneswithfriends.com now and enter your shipping information."

I haven't heard about this but please do not investigate the site as it could contain malware and damage your computer.

Yes it is a scam.

Looks like a scam - I went to the page, entered some (fake) info, "got approved", and then was forwarded to a survey… Don't waste your time.

Pure SPAM and probably loaded with malware along the line. DELETE* or BLOCK

At the very least this is clickbait designed to get you to complete 2 short questionnaires as part of the Verification process or to prove you are human. At worst it is a phish after credit card details. The website is a dummy. It looks official but none of the links apart from the actual phish are real.
Finally - thousands of iPhone X s retail at millions of dollars. I'm sure that Apple would not mind at all if someone bought thousands of their products to give away. They might question the business model but they would still sell them anyway. *The code after the Words Official (JA7R) is a randomly generated code so that if you block them they can come back with a new code and spam you again.

I got one today… Stupid scammer! NOBODY would be stupid enough to give away a $1000 phone for free, especially an unlocked phone.

I received this message in a new game invite tonight. Pretty sure it's a scam of one sort or another.

  • Is there anything giving away free iPhones without doing anything? I was wondering if there was any site that's legit that gives you a free iphone and not the points sites cuz they only give very few points for each offers an I don't want to complete offers cuz they cost money and not those referral or sites that download apps and games or surveys I want something that gives you an iphone by just putting in info
  • Is Fed-Ex responsible for giving away my package to someone else? I had an iPhone that was coming in couple days ago and I saw the delivery confirmation. To my surprise, it said it was delivered and signed by someone else. I called Fed-ex and they refuse to take responsibility because they said someone was at the house and they signed it. (No one was at home at the time) They showed the signature, but no one that is living in the house is named "Sarah." There wasn't even a last name! What do I do?!
  • IPhone automatically changes certain words to random words? On iMessage, some correctly spelled words will autocorrect to really random things (mostly just capitalized the entire word) I once typed. For example, Nevermind changes to NEVERMIND Haha changes to Haha And it's just really awkward sometimes and annoying to try to change it back. Is there any other way I can disable than turning off autocorrect on the settings?
  • Fake scam won't go away on my iPhone I can't even get on some websites because it automatically changes the site to the fake virus scam! What do I do? I've cleared my web and cookies but it still shows up on safari? It's ******* irritating
